How to choose an interior designer in Gurugram: a practical checklist

Your home interior is a big spend, and it is hard to change once it is built. Here is a simple checklist you can use with any interior designer in Gurugram, including us.
1. Look at completed work, not only renders
3D images show intent. Photos and visits to finished homes show the real result. Ask to see completed projects of the same size and type as yours.
2. Read the Google reviews
Reviews on Google Maps are public and hard to fake at scale. Look for comments about timelines, behaviour on site and how problems were handled, not only star ratings.
3. Ask who actually does the work
Some firms have their own carpenters and site team. Others hand the work to outside contractors. Neither is automatically wrong, but you should know who is responsible if something goes wrong.
4. Get a written, itemised estimate

5. Check the payment schedule
Payments should be linked to progress on site, not mostly paid in advance. Ask for the schedule in writing.
6. Understand the timeline
Ask for a start date, a handover date and what could delay it. Be careful with promises that sound too short, and check what conditions apply to them.
7. Read the warranty terms

8. Meet the people you will deal with
Visit the studio, meet the designer and the project manager, and see how they communicate. You will be in touch with them for weeks.
